Many people are panic due to popular social media platform Facebook is being down for about 6 hours on October/4/2021, so many have began to ask why Facebook is down?
A Facebook whistleblower in person of Frances Haugen, was an ex-employee of Facebook, who worked on Facebook and was employed in around 2019 as a data scientist of Facebook and she kept her identity secret when she filled a complaint with the securities and exchange commission SEC against Facebook shared internal face documents with the wall street jornal.
Frances Haugen also worked at Google before she was employed by Facebook in 2019 she is the whistleblower, she revealed as a whistleblower during a recorded report on 60 minutes briefings to the SEC. Haugen says that she will testify to Congress that Facebook has been deceived regulators to the public about its monitoring of hate speech and misinformation.
Frances Haugen said on 60 minutes video that Facebook is choosing profit more over safety.
She is a 2002 graduate of electrical and computer engineering degree from Olin college and a Harvard MBA, and she wrote on her website her parents are professors.
She resigned in Facebook in May 2021.
A spokesman of Facebook interviewed with the CNN that social media platform replects good, the bad and the ugly of humanity and the Facebook is trying to mitigate the bad and amplifying the good.
