Governor Zulum at Jakana to assess the progress of electricity restoration
Power supply to Maiduguri has been disrupted for weeks due to a felled high tension electric pole. The PHCN has been relentlessly working for it's re-erection and the subsequent supply of electricity to Maiduguri.
Governor Zulum visited the site located along Jakana axis of the Maiduguri - Damaturu highway alongside the Hon. Commissioner for Housing and energy Engr. Yuguda Vungas who stated that, the site is well secured with armed personel patroling to ensure the safety of the workers and their supervisors.
The commissioner added that, the team is doing its best to ensure the restoration of the power lines within the shortest possible time. He called on the people of Borno to be patient as The Government, the transmission company of Nigeria as well as the Yola distribution company are doing their best to ensure full retstoration of Electricity in the State.
